The full form of OSI is Open Systems Interconnection. It is a model that defines the communication duties of a computing system without consideration of its internal structure and technology. It was produced by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 1984. Moreover, it takes on the responsibility of transferring the data pockets between network devices. Interestingly, the OSI consists of seven layers that work independently to achieve the desired results effortlessly.

Disadvantages of OSI

There are numerous disadvantages of OSI such as:
