4 Indian students receive 100% scholarships to study in Australia

Deakin University, Australia has awarded the Vice-Meritorious Chancellor’s 100% Scholarship for 2022 to four high-achieving students in India. The Students, named Anvisha Chopra, Arnab Bordoloi, Aryan Vadera, and Shruti Arora, will now study at Deakin University, Australia with a full fee waiver for the entire duration of their UG or PG programme.

The news was announced at a special “Leaders of Tomorrow” broadcast featuring Deakin University and hosted by Sunanda Jayaseelan. It was mentioned that more than 800 students applied for the award from all around India, and nine finalists were chosen via a selection process. 

The scholarship recipients were chosen by a panel of judges that included Abhilash Mishra, CEO of NSE Academy Limited, Mathew Johnston, Minister-Counsellor (Education and Research), Australian High Commission, and Ravneet Pawha, Vice President (Global Alliances) and CEO (South Asia), Deakin University.

Professor Iain Martin, President and Vice-Chancellor of Deakin University, said, “Indian students have played a significant role in the development of our distinctive university community by offering fresh viewpoints and ideas, supporting the development of our dynamic and welcoming culture, and bringing excellent academic standards. Congratulations to the recipients of the Vice-Meritorious Chancellor’s 100% Scholarships for 2022. I’m looking forward to seeing them enjoy their time in Australia and reach their full potential. 

The scholarship winners will begin their studies on-campus at Deakin University in Australia, where they will also have the chance to participate in the Vice-Professional Chancellor’s Excellence Program, a development programme that will aid them in exploring their professional and personal goals through workshops, meetings for professional development, and academic mentoring.

Deakin University also offers additional academic merit-based bursaries and scholarships that are worth 20% and 25% off the full tuition for both on-campus and online programmes, respectively. Deakin University, which was founded in 1974, successfully combines excellence in teaching, research, and collaborations with business and government to deliver high-quality courses and carry out research that benefits the local and global communities it serves.
