NZ announces scholarships worth $20,000 for Indian Students

With New Zealand’s borders being open again for international students, the University of Auckland has launched an extensive range of scholarships for Indian students, worth up to $20,000. The scholarships will be offered biannually, with 115 twice a year. Each award is of five scholarships cycle up to $20,000, 10 up to $10,000 and 100 up to $5,000. 

The University of Auckland is eagerly waiting to welcome Indian students back on campus. The university also mentioned that it has launched more than 200 scholarships of NZD $1.5 million for the year 2023. 

“University of Auckland is delighted to be welcoming top-performing international students back on campus,” University of Auckland’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Strategic Engagement, Dr Erik Lithander said. 

Indian Students can apply for both undergraduate and postgraduate Scholarships at the University of Auckland from 10 October 2022.

University of Auckland International Director Ainslie Moore said that “This is a significant investment for the University of Auckland and we very much look forward to welcoming these top students to Auckland, especially after the past few years of Covid and lockdowns. International students add diversity and richness to our campuses as well as play a major role in research and in the New Zealand workforce outside the university.”
