This scholarship was instituted to offer financial aid of INR 1500 per month to students from Punjab, Haryana, Jammu, Kashmir, Delhi, Chandigarh, and Himachal Pradesh. This amount is offered to only Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Physically Challenged students from these states.

What is NTPC Utkarsh Merit Scholarship
The main aim of the NTPC Utkarsh Merit Scholarship is to uplift the economically weaker sections of targeted villages where NTPC projects are set up and ignite the spark of competitiveness in students. Under the NTPC Utkarsh merit scholarship, the NTPC Foundation offers four major schemes. To put simply, there are four separate sub-scholarships for aspirants studying in Classes 10 &12 or pursuing BE/ BTech, ITI courses and MBBS. These scholarships differ in terms of awards, eligibility, selection criteria and application process and have been detailed in the next section.
NTPC Utkarsh Merit Scholarship for 10th and 12 Pass
Among the class 10th applications, 4 students from each school will be selected and awarded INR 3,000 per annum. For class 12, 4 Students from each stream from every school will be selected and awarded INR 3,000. Here are the eligibility requirements and selection criteria for this scholarship:

NTPC Utkarsh Merit Scholarship: BE/ BTech
The next category under the NTPC is full-time studies in engineering courses. Only two students from the target villages of each NTPC project or station will be selected and awarded INR 9,00,000 per annum for four consecutive years. The applicant must be pursuing a full-time degree course in BTech or BE degree from IIIT and IIT or government engineering colleges in India. The applicant must not be pursuing any kind of employment or have any other scholarship source. NTPC Utkarsh Merit Scholarship for ITIs

The tuition fee of the MBBS program is generally higher in the country, thus, by seeking NTPC Utkarsh merit scholarship for MBBS, aspirants can pursue their dream of becoming a medical practitioner. Only two students from target villages for each NTPC project or station will be awarded 9,00,000 INR for 4 years. A student can either apply physically or online. For physical application, the candidate can avail of the application form from the head of the academic institution or its authorised representative.

- Print the form
- Fill out all mandatory fields
