NRA CET 2022

NRA CET stands for the National Recruitment Agency – Common Eligibility Test. National Recruitment Agency is an independent, and professional organisation that conducts these examinations every year. The details for NRA CET 2022 are decided by the Union Cabinet, currently acting under Jitender Singh. The jobs offered under the eligibility of NRA CET 2022 are the non-gazetted Group B and Group C posts. 

What are the Benefits of NRA CET?

For the candidates who wish to apply for non-technical government jobs, there are many benefits of going for an NRA CET exam. Listed below are a few points that cannot be ignored. 

1. The candidate appearing in the NRA CET exam does not have to appear for any other screening test under Tier I or Phase 1 of the SSC, IBPS, or RRB exams. The NRA CET score is valid for 3 years. 
2. Specialised agencies prepare the final lists of the candidates on the basis of NRA CET scores. The Tier II or Phase 2 exams are conducted by the respective examining agencies.
3. The exam is conducted twice a year and the procedure is completely online. 
4. THE NRA CET exam can be given after classes 10th,12th and graduation. Exams for each of these categories are separate. 
5. There is the ease of availing mock tests on the official website of NRA CET, also candidates can schedule their exams and choose their exam centres.
6. NRA CET scores are valid for applying for jobs in State Government, Union Governments, Public Sector Undertakings and Private sectors. 
7. The procedure is cost-effective due to fewer application fees and cost reduction through online procedures. 
8. The NRA CET exam can be given in multiple languages. 
9. The exam has no bar on the number of attempts if the applicant has not crossed the upper age limit.

Eligibility for NRA CET Exam

1. Educational Qualifications: Subsequent level of education is required for each type of exam. Some of the required educational qualifications are Grade 10, Grade 12 and a bachelor’s degree. 
2. Nationality: Apart from Indian citizens, citizens of certain other nationalities can also apply for the NRA CET exams. The list of nationalities is mentioned below:

• India
• Nepal
• Bhutan
• Tibetan Refugees settled in India before 01 January 1962
• Migrants of Indian origin from the following countries are eligible only if they intend to live in India: Pakistan, Burma, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zaire, Sri Lanka, East-African countries of Kenya, Uganda,  Ethiopia, Zambia, Malawi and Vietnam. 

3. Age limit: The age limit for candidates applying after passing Grade 10 or Grade 12 is between 18 – 30 years as on July 01, 2022. The age limit for the candidates applying after pursuing the bachelor’s degree is between 18 – 33 years as on July 01, 2022.
4. Number of Attempts: There is no restriction on the number of attempts for this exam if the candidate is within the age limit of the applied category. The best score of 3 years will be considered for recruitment and the exam score is valid for 3 years. 

How to Apply for NRA CET?

Following is the application process for NRA CET:

Registration

1. Register on the official website of NRA CET. Go to the website and click on ‘Apply Online’.
2. Select the ‘New Registration’ option.
3. Fill in the details and click on ‘Register’. 
4. The login credentials will be sent on the candidate’s registered number and email id. 

Application

1. Login on the official website of NRA CET using the given credentials.
2. Fill in the specified details and preferences of the exam and preview the form.
3. Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
4. Go to the ‘Upload Signature and Photograph’ option.
5. Browse through the options and click on ‘Upload’. 
6. Click on the ‘Make Payment’ tab.
7. Select the payment option and make the payment.
8. Preview the whole form and take a downloaded copy of the Application Form.

1. Scanned copies of passport-size photographs and the e-signature of the candidate. 
2. Bank details
3. A handwritten Declaration.
4. Scanned imprint of the left thumb.
5. Caste Certificate (if required)

NRA CET 2022 Exam Dates
