The Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs, has released a notification on its official website regarding the recruitment process for the IB Security Assistant Exam 2022. The examination is supposed to be conducted by the end of the year, i.e. December 2022. Recruitment Process 

There are three stages and different modes of the IB Security Assistant Exam 2022 selection:

Negative marking is applicable in the IB Security Assistant recruitment exam 2022. For every incorrect answer, a 0.25 mark is deducted, and for every correct answer, 1 mark is awarded and the candidate has to qualify for each tier individually to get selected for the next round. 

Eligibility Criteria

There are certain eligibility criteria that an applicant must meet to qualify for the position of IB Security Assistant 2022.

1. Educational Qualification

• The candidate must have completed matriculation (10th Class) from a recognised Board of Education
• The candidate must know the local language of the state he/she is applying for or of any Indian state.  

2. Age Limit

The age limit for the Open/Unreserved/General candidates for the post of Security Assistant at the Intelligence Bureau is between 18 to 27 years. The relaxation of age will be given to the candidates belonging to the Other Backward Caste (OBC), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and the Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) categories according to the rules and regulations of the Ministry of Home Affairs. 

IB Security Assistant 2022 Application Form

The entire process of registration is online and comprises two stages. The candidates must read all the guidelines very carefully and proceed with the application once it is available. All the relevant details are available here so that the candidates have easy access to the information about the IB Security Assistant examination details.

• Stage I- Registration:

1. The candidates are required to visit https://www.mha.gov.in/.
2. The candidates will find a PDF in the advertisement section of the official website. Candidates are advised to go through the PDF to understand the terms and conditions of the examination.
3. Click on the IB Security Assistant Recruitment “Apply Now”. 
4. Read the instructions properly and proceed further after agreeing to the terms and conditions. 
5. Enter the basic details correctly like Name, Date of Birth, Email ID, and Phone Number. 
6. After successful completion, the candidates will receive a provisional username and password on their registered Email ID and phone number.  

• Stage II- login:

1. Log in with the username and password and complete the application process.
2. Fill up the personal details, academic qualifications, and permanent address details carefully.
3. Choose the examination centre nearest to you.
4. Upload scanned copies of your recent passport-size photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression.
5. Verify the details entered by you carefully once more before proceeding further with the Application Fee.
6. After verification, pay the required Application Fee.
7. After successful payment of the Application Fee, candidates will receive a copy of a receipt, download it and keep it for future reference. 

• Application Fee:

The Application Fee for the examination is INR 50 for General/Unreserved/Open Male Applicants and applicants from the other categories i.e., Other Backward Caste (OBC), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and female candidates (from any category) are exempted from the application fee.

IB Security Assistant Exam Result

The IB Security Assistant Exam Result 2022 will be declared once the examination for recruitment is over. Although, the result of every tier of the exam would be declared individually. The results will be declared in December 2022 and January 2023 (tentatively). 

The result of tier II would be declared once the tier I result is released. If the candidate has successfully passed both tiers I and II, will be called for an interview.

IB Security Assistant Salary 2022

The IB Security Assistant starting basic pay is as per the 7th Pay Commission. Also, an additional Grade pay of INR 2k is paid to the employees along with their basic pay. The employees are also eligible for Central Government allowances.
