Eligibility:

To qualify for this procedure, you must be physically in Nigeria, renewing a student visa that is still valid or has expired within the past 24 months, and renewing your visa either to:

  • continue participation in the same major course of study even if at a different institution; or
  • attend the same institution even if in a different major course of study,” according to the U.S. Consulate in Nigeria.

Scheduled applicants who meet the requirements for the no-interview student visa renewal listed above may cancel their appointments and reapply at the link available on the official website of the US Embassy and Consulate in Nigeria. Yet, the candidates will be questioned to determine their eligibility for the student renewal programme throughout the rescheduling procedure. The candidates will also receive information on how to submit the application through the document delivery centre.

The candidates are also asked not to cancel their appointments if they are not eligible for a no-interview student visa renewal.
