MX Player is an Indian video streaming and video-on-demand platform that was started by Karan Bedi and was developed by MX Media & Entertainment. It has over 280 million users globally.
Video Player
MX Player was launched as a video player platform on 18 July 2011. It featured subtitle support and offline video viewing capabilities.
OTT Platform
On 20 February 2019, MX Player was launched as an OTT Platform with original programming. It has licensed content from various Indian and international platforms like FilmRise, Sonar Entertainment, Hungama, etc. In 2020, it tied up with the Ullu app.
International Expansion
In March 2020, it announced its launch internationally in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal.
