- Visit the official website of the British Council and select the “take an exam” option at the top of the page.
- Select “Take IELTS with British Council” and then scroll down to the option of “test date, fees and location”.

How to Reschedule the Dates for IELTS Exam?
You can only reschedule your IELTS test if the exam date is at least 15 days from the date on which you are applying for rescheduling. For 34 days and above, you can reschedule IELTS Exam without stating any reason.
IELTS Test Center Instructions
While appearing for the IELTS Exam, you must follow the instructions:
- Switch off your mobile phone and any other electronic devices. You will be asked to place all of your personal belongings outside the test room.
- Watches are not allowed in the test room. Every test room will have a clock on the wall.
- There are no breaks between each section of the test.
- Make sure you are prepared and have something to eat and drink beforehand. You will not be allowed to take food into the test room. You will only be allowed to take a drink in a transparent bottle.
- When you get your test papers, read the instructions on the cover page first before writing anything.
IELTS Test Center Rules
- Do not talk to or disturb other candidates once the test has started.
- Do not lend anything to, or borrow anything from, another candidate during the test.
- Do not eat or smoke in the test room.
- Do not leave the test room without the permission of the invigilator.
- Do not leave your seat until all test materials have been collected and you have
- been told you can leave.
- Do not engage in any form of malpractice which may damage the integrity and
- security of the IELTS test. Malpractice can be termed as:
- attempting to cheat in any way
- helping another student to cheat
- impersonating another student or having another student
- impersonate you
- copying the work of another student
- disrupting the test in any way
- reproducing any part of the test in any medium
- attempting to alter the data on the Test Report Form
IELTS Result
IELTS Test Results are declared 13 days after the test was taken. You can access IELTS scorecards online as well as offline. IELTS score validity is for 2 years.
