What is AICTE Scholarship?
AICTE or The All India Council for Technical Education is India’s topmost advisory body responsible for providing technical education throughout the country, irrespective of any state. The responsibility of AICTE involves granting accreditation to different colleges and higher education institutions offering a wide range of technical training programs in the country. Additionally, it also provides numerous beneficial fellowships and scholarships to those students with promising academic records and those who are highly ambitious toward pursuing a degree in science or technology. AICTE PG Scholarship
This scholarship by AICTE is conferred to those students who have successfully qualified for their GATE/GPAT entrance exams and have been selected for different programs in M.E./ M.Arch/ M. Tech & MPharma in colleges that are recognised and accredited by AICTE. A student is provided with a stipend of 12,400 INR every month for a duration of two years to cover the course fees of the degree.
AICTE PG Scholarship Eligibility
Students are eligible to apply if they have successfully cleared their GATE/ GPAT entrance exams. Additionally, the students should already hold an offer of admission for the first year for courses of ME/ MTech/ M.Arch/ M.Pharma programs in any of the AICTE-approved institutions in the country. Undertaking full-time programs are necessary.
Further, it is mandatory for the students to maintain a savings account, which is a requirement for this scholarship.
AICTE Saksham Scholarship
AICTE grants the Saksham Scholarship to special or differently-abled students who are desirous of taking admission to a technical degree course or a diploma. Students can’t take admitted to any institution which does not come under the AICTE approval list. A tuition fee of 30,000 INR and a monthly 2000 INR as an incidental benefit, for a time span of ten months, is granted to the student to help them pursue the degree comfortably.
AICTE Saksham Scholarship Eligibility
This scholarship is specifically for students who are specially abled and thus provides them with financial assistance to pursue higher studies. The disability of the individual should be certified and should not be below 40%. Furthermore, it is mandatory for a prospective candidate to be enrolled in a technical course or program and should already be pursuing the first year of the degree.
Only students belonging to a family with a yearly income of fewer than 8 Lakhs are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
AICTE Pragati Scholarship
A distinctive feature of the Pragati scholarship is that it has been reserved for girls and is solely intended to be awarded to meritorious girls who are aspiring to take admission in any technical course in a college endorsed by the AICTE. A tuition fee of 30,000 INR and monthly 2000 INR as incidental charges, for a period of ten months, is granted to the student under this plan of the AICTE scholarships.
AICTE Pragati Scholarship Eligibility
The basic criterion of this scholarship is that it is exclusively for female candidates who have secured their admission in any technical course and are undergoing their first year of a degree or diploma. If the college or institution of admission is not recognised by AICTE, then the candidate is not eligible to apply for the scholarship. Additionally, the yearly income of the family from all its potential sources should not exceed a total amount of 8 Lakhs.
National Doctoral Fellowship (NDF)
This scholarship is conferred by AICTE to those research scholars who are pursuing regular and full-time research programs. They are granted a research fellowship to secure their admission to a Ph.D. course in the field of their specialization. A scholar should have taken up the research program in an AICTE-approved research university only. Under this scholarship, students get 28,000 INR per month and they are also given an allowance for accommodation purposes outside the campus hostel. They also receive a yearly contingency sum of 15,000 INR to facilitate the successful completion of the research.
National Doctoral Fellowship Eligibility
To be eligible to receive grants of this fellowship one should have a CGPA of at least 7.5 or a minimum of 75% in undergraduate courses including, BE, BTech, and B.Pharm. If a candidate belongs to any reserved category then the CGPA requirement will be 7.0. The candidate should have qualified for an entrance test, either GATE or GPAT. The minimum age requirement for the candidate is 30 years. A five-year age relaxation will be given to students from the reserved category.
Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS)
The primary aim of this scholarship is to facilitate skill development amongst the young of Jammu and Kashmir. The purpose is to provide education and empowerment to the youth that will result in a better future. The scholarship further aims to create a range of employment opportunities for them. PMSSS provides beneficiaries for the whole course amounting to around 3,00,000 INR and also maintenance charge which adds up to 1,00,00 INR.
PMSSS Eligibility
The foremost requirement for a candidate is to possess a domicile certificate of J&K. The candidate applying for this scholarship should have a qualified class 12th exam from CBSE or JKBOSE. In addition to this, a student with a diploma that has been earned after matriculation is also eligible to apply for this scholarship. Candidates who aspire to study a full-time medical degree or any professional course in any institution which has been granted approval by PMSSS are eligible for this scholarship.
