Pace University was established in 1906 as a one-room Accountancy school in the New York Tribune Building by Charles Ashford Pace and Homer St. Clair Pace. The school began its operation with 13 students only. However, it went on to become Pace Institute and started offering courses in Business Law and Accountancy all across the country. It was granted university status in 1973 by the New York State Board of Regent. Today, Pace University is among the top 9% of the private universities in the United States known for providing the best returns on investment. The University is at the forefront of creating opportunity for 13,600+ diverse individuals in the metropolitan of New York and its motto is aptly justified as "Opportunitas." The university currently holds the accreditation of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).
