The Eindhoven University of Technology is a public technical university in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. When the Dutch government established the Technische Hogeschool Eindhoven (THE) on June 23, 1956, as the Eindhoven University of Technology, it became the second institute of its sort in the Netherlands, with the Delft University of Technology being the first. A Young University that was founded to educate the Engineers and Designers of tomorrow, Eindhoven combines scientific curiosity with a hands-on mentality through its academic programs. Today, the University also ranks in the top 1% of universities worldwide for its cooperation with the industry. The University is part of the 4TU, CESAER, Santander, CLUSTER, the European Universities Association (EUA), and EuroTech networks. The Tokyo Institute of Technology (Japan), Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy (New York), and DTU Technical Institution of Denmark, among others, have substantial academic connections with the university. This university is tied at the 120th position globally according to the QS World University Rankings 2022. The Eindhoven University of Technology ranks #1934 worldwide, #631 in Europe, and #15 in the Netherlands.

The Eindhoven University of Technology campus is located in the heart of Brainport Eindhoven, which is Europe’s most thriving technology hotspot. The modern and urban campus consists of 15 buildings and constituent spaces, including a state-of-the-art Auditorium and a Sports Centre. Academics at Eindhoven University are offered across 10 constituent Departments, which are - Biomedical Engineering, Built Environment, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design, Chemical Engineering, and Chemistry, Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences, Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science and an Eindhoven School of Education. Programs at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels are available across a range of disciplines, with personal leadership and professional development components included in the latter.

Further, EuroTeQ, which arose from the EuroTech Universities Alliance, was founded by TU/e. Some of its most notable alumni of the University are - Jacob Appelbaum (an American Independent Journalist, Computer Security Researcher, Artist, and Hacker), Camiel Martinus Petrus Stephanus Eurlings (a Dutch Politician and Businessman), and Ton Roosendaal (a Dutch Software Developer and Film Producer).
