Maternity Leave

If partners decide to share the leave then they have to choose between-

• 150 days with 80 per cent of normal wages

Pension Plans

Pension and Social Security plans are compulsory in Portugal and all these plans are under the control of the Ministry of Labour, Solidarity, and Social Security. Employee and the employer both pay for these plans. An employer pays 26.5  per cent of the employee’s wage and the employee pays 11 per cent of social security tax from his/her paycheck.

Overtime
