The Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT) is an annual entrance exam conducted by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University, West Bengal (MAKAUT, WB) for admission of students in top B-Schools of West Bengal for MBA and MHA courses. It is a combined entrance test comprising a written exam, Group Discussion and Personal Interview for admissions to various universities and colleges.

JEMAT Latest Updates 2023

The Management Aptitude Test results were declared in November 2022 where the exam was conducted in a remotely proctored way. 

  • This year however the exam is shifting to offline test centres. 
  • The JEMAT Application dates and other details will be released in the first week of June 2023. 
  • The examinations will be conducted by MAKAUT, WB for admissions of MBA full-time and part-time and MHA courses. 

JEMAT Notification 2023 

The JEMAT Application dates and other details will be released in the first week of June 2023. The candidates can expect the application procedure to start within a day of the release of notification. The application window stays open for a duration of over 20 days within which the candidates have to apply, upload documents and submit the application fees of INR 600. 

JEMAT Exam Dates 2023

The JEMAT Exam dates are divided phase-wise starting the registration procedure in June 2023. The notification is released on MAKAUT’s official website will all the exam dates and details. The tentative dates for JEMAT 2023 are as follows.

JEMAT Exam Pattern 2023 

The JEMAT Question paper is patterned in three sections namely; English, Mathematics and Logical Reasoning. The questions will be in MCQ format with 4 options for each question. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer in the JEMAT Exam 2023. The exam pattern is as follows:

JEMAT Eligibility Criteria 2023

Please note that proper documents related to the eligibility criteria will be required at the time of admission and failing to produce them, the admission of the candidate will stand cancelled irrespective of the JEMAT Score. Here is a list of eligibility criteria to go through

  1. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in either Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, or Architecture from a UGC or AICTE-recognised university. 
  2. Final-year students with bachelor’s degrees are also eligible to apply only in case they will be able to produce the mark sheet at the time of admission. 
  3. The degrees produced should be from a regularly attended course and no remote education degree will be accepted. 
  4. The is no age bar for JEMAT admissions. 

JEMAT Application Process 2023

The application process will soon begin and the candidates can follow the given steps to confirm their admissions. 

  1. Open MAKAUT’s official website.
  2. Click on ‘Apply for JEMAT’. Or Open 
  3. Fill out the form with the general details required like name, email id et.
  4. Fill in the captcha box with the displayed code and submit.
  5. The registration id and password will be emailed to you.
  6. Login using your credentials from the mail. 
  7. Fill in the rest of the form details. 
  8. Upload scanned photograph and signature.
  9. Select targetted courses and institutions from JEMAT.
  10. Choose the exam mode and proceed to pay the application fees. 
  11. Take a print of the application form and payment confirmation. 

JEMAT Admit Card 2023

The admit card for JEMAT 1 will be released in the last week of June 2023. The candidates can follow the given instructions to download the admit card.

  1. Open the MAKAUT official website.
  2. Click the tab ‘Applicant login for JEMAT’.
  3. Enter the login credentials sent at the time of registration.
  4. Click on the admit card option and check your details. 
  5. Download the admit card. 

How to Prepare for JEMAT 2023?

To prepare properly for any Management Aptitude Test the candidates must begin their preparations months before the exam. Here are some preparation tips and recommended books for Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test. 

  1. Being an aspirant of management the first thing the candidate should do is quickly prepare a timetable for better management of studies. The topics that you already know or are good at should have lesser preparation time and most of the time should be dedicated to new and difficult topics. 
  2. The time must be divided smartly between learning and practising. The candidate should first learn new topics with the help of solved examples, books and video tutorials and then proceed to practice questions. 
  3. The candidates should practice the previous year’s questions and sample papers combined as a whole test at the end of their preparation. 
  4. It is advisable to make short notes of all topics while studying and revise them at regular intervals. 
  5. Give yourself breaks and sleep well to relax your mind.

JEMAT Answer key 2023

The answer key for this Management Aptitude Test can be downloaded from the official website course-wise or set-wise for JEMAT 1, JEMAT 2, or JEMAT 3. JEMAT Results 2023

Recently in November 2022, the results for JEMAT 3 were released on the official website of MAKAUT. Here is how the candidates can check their results:

  1. Open the official website of MAKAUT.
  2. Open the MAKAUT login page from JEMAT.
  3. Enter your login credentials and the security code. 
  4. Click ‘Check Results’ and the scorecard will be displayed on the screen. 
  5. Download your JEMAT scorecard. 

JEMAT Selection Process

The candidates can check their results and subsequently start preparing for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. The final JEMAT results are released soon after the GD & PI rounds. 

The results are made available on the login page only and the candidates can visit the official website to log in and check their results. The counselling schedule is released by the institutes soon after the results are released. The result contains the sectional sores and the overall scores of the candidates.

The candidates should note that the final JEMAT Scorecards are not the confirmation of admission and the admission is still subject to registration with the institute and submission of documents.
