Under the leadership of Rishi Sunak, the UK government has approved 3000 student visas for Indian students under UK -India Young Professionals Scheme. According to this, Indian students between the age of 18-30 years, holding a degree can work and live in the UK for two years.
Through the official Twitter account of the UK’s Prime Minister office, the approval of this scheme was confirmed. The scheme offers 3000 student visas to Indian students between the age of 18-30 years, holding a degree to work and live in the UK for two years.
The scheme will be reciprocal in nature. The UK’s Prime Minister’s office stated that the UK has more links with India than any other country and one-fourth of all international students in the UK are Indians. And Indian investments in the country support nearly 95,000 jobs.
According to the UK Home Office data, approximately 1,18,000 Indian students received student visas in June 2022. This was an 89% increase from last year. The British government is also planning to strengthen the ability to remove immigration offenders.
