Tips and Trick to Understand Sequence

Number series is a form of a certain sequence where some numbers are intentionally or mistakenly put into the wrong order. Also, in some series, the numbers are missing. Given below is a set of tips and tricks to understand the concept well:

  • Identify the set pattern that has been going on in the series. It would either be addition, multiplication or subtraction with the same number.
  • Look out for the number which is odd in the list or you could be asked to list down the next number following the series.
  • Solving these sequences and series questions would be a hit and trial method, thus you must gauge out the concept that has been followed in the series.
  • Also do not forget to recheck the concept you used to answer a particular question.
  • Since series and sequence questions are also asked under the logical reasoning sections, many questions can be solved in more than one or two ways. Thus, one must cross-check other ways as well.
