Study Abroad: How international merit postgraduate scholarships can help students achieve their education dream in 2023

The University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom is going to offer 125 International Postgraduate Taught Merit Scholarships in 2023. This recent announcement by the University of Sheffield was a blessing in disguise for many international students who don’t have the proper financial conditions to back up their study abroad dream, education, and living expenses in the UK. 

Each scholarship will be considered a competitive program that will cover 25% of the original tuition fee of the postgraduate talent that would be taught in 2023. It doesn’t matter which country the international student originates from, all of them will be eligible for the scholarship. However, this scholarship is only available to international students who fulfil the eligibility criteria. (anewcareer) The students also need to get an offer letter from the University of Sheffield. 

But remember that the applications for this scholarship will open in late November 2022. Therefore, make sure you mark your calendar as 15th May 2023 is the deadline for submitting the application. You also need to wait for another month to receive the results of the scholarships as the university will announce the results on 12th June 2023. 

Now let’s come to the eligibility criteria for the scholarship. This is one of the most important things you should consider while applying for scholarships. The scholarship programme will commence at the university in Autumn 2023. If you’re applying for distance learning courses, you won’t be eligible for the scholarship. Additionally, sponsored students cannot avail the benefits of the scholarships.
