History, Affiliations and Rankings 

The University of Sheffield is one of the most prominent universities in the United Kingdom, which was established in 1897. It has been a part of the Sheffield Medical School, Firth College, and Sheffield Technical School with a major focus on the technical field and science. It is also known to be one of the six original 'redbrick' civic universities and has a global outreach in the educational field equivalent to its academic heritage. The university began its classes with 114 students, and later on, the number of enrolments increased up to 1,000 students. Over the years, the university has rapidly emerged and developed new departments, residential halls, faculty buildings, and also expanded the area of the campus. Today, the university is globally known to be one of the best institutions for higher education. The University of Sheffield has affiliations with prominent groups like - Russell Group, UN ACU, N8 Group, and AMBA Universities UK. Infrastructure, Campus & Courses 

Everything you need is within walking distance of the University of Sheffield campus, which is located in the centre of the city. The university has one campus located in Sheffield, Yorkshire. The campus consists of buildings along with various faculties and departments. There are great facilities, study rooms, and the country's best Students' Union. Sheffield provides everything you might possibly need for studying, relaxing, and socialising. New media, digital works, texts, and research resources are all housed in the Western Bank Library. All undergraduate students have access to excellent engineering facilities as well as study places at the Diamond. Students also have access to the Information Commons, a multi-purpose learning facility and library, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition, there are several restaurants and cafés on campus where students may relax and unwind. The university caters to the academic demands of students by offering undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs. The academic structure has a list of courses which are divided into various departments and faculties.
