The University of Idaho is the State’s most robust research University that was established in 1889 and was the State’s sole university until 1963. A public land grant research University, Idaho has today, emerged as a top Public College in America and as the nation’s Best Values. Founded to make a difference to the economic prosperity of the local Idahoan community, the University continues to create impact, with more than $1.3 billion contributed to Idaho’s community till date. The University of Idaho is affiliated with the Space-grant colleges in the United States. Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses
Recognized as the Most Beautiful College Campus in Idaho by MSN Lifestyle, the University of Idaho campus is based in the vibrant town of Moscow, with educational centers in Boise, Coeur d’Alene, and Idaho Falls. In addition, there are 9 Research and Extension centers that carry out monumental research projects, particularly in Agriculture and Life Sciences. Only a few blocks away from the campus, students will find the historic Main Street that features thrift shops, boutiques, classy eateries and coffee shops, art galleries and live music venues. The University offers over 300 academic majors at the Undergraduate and Graduate level across its 10 Colleges, each offering programs in a distinct specialization. The University of Idaho is a diverse University with 10,700+ enrollments, 2% of which constitutes the international student population. Nearly 5400 of the University students are women. Foreign students represent over 59 countries on the campus.
