Xian Jiaotong University Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
For candidates who are extremely motivated and committed to pursuing doctoral-level research, XJTLU provides a variety of scholarships. Candidates that meet the requirements may get financial assistance.
Full scholarship recipients must work as a teaching assistant or research assistant as a condition of their grant; fee-only and partial tuition-fee recipients can also apply for these positions and will be compensated according to university norms.

Xian Jiaotong University Scholarship Dates
There will be two application rounds for each academic year.
Applications must be submitted by 17:00 CST (UTC+8) on October 15 in order to be considered in the first round. The scholarship recipients who are chosen in the first round will be notified in December.

How Much CGPA is Required for a Scholarship in China?
To get a scholarship in China, ensure that you have a good academic record. Typically, you require at least a 3.0/4.0 CGPA (around 75–80% average) for bachelor’s scholarships. On the other hand, around 3.2–3.5/4.0 CGPA (80–85% or higher) is required for the master’s course.
Top Universities require students to secure a 3.5/40 CGPA or above for admission. For example, universities like Tsinghua University and Peking University. On the other hand, for provisional or university-level scholarships, lower GPAs are accepted. This is usually if the student can demonstrate a strong overall application.
