Importance of National Grammar Day
The following shows the importance of grammar in our daily lives:
- Grammar is essential for any language and enables us to express our thoughts, views, opinions and feelings clearly. Using the rules of grammar correctly will present a structured and logical statement for others to understand while incorrect usage would cause miscommunication.
- Grammar is fun when you enjoy the structure of a language. Sometimes, while reading a piece of text or proofreading a material, you can find a typo (usage of incorrect spelling by mistake while typing/writing) or an incorrect usage of words, it is fun to mark them or mentally correct such mistakes.
- Grammar can be nostalgic. Even though with time, we become proficient in understanding the system of a language, there have been moments when we have opened those old grammar books to revise one or the other component of grammar.
