About Kotak Shiksha Nidhi Scholarship

The Kotak Shiksha Nidhi Scholarship is an initiative implemented by the Kotak Education Foundation and funded by the Kotak Group of Companies. It provides financial support to Indian students who have lost their primary earning member of the family due to COVID-19, for the continuation of their education. The scheme covers a range of education-related expenses to help school/college-going students pursue their studies without any hindrance.

Eligibility Criteria

To avail of the Kotak Shiksha Nidhi Scholarship, students currently enrolled in schools or colleges across India must fulfil the following eligibility criteria. The applicant must fall under either one of these categories:

• Students who lost one parent to COVID-19.
• Students who lost both parents to COVID-19.
• Students who lost their family’s primary earner (apart from parent) to COVID-19.
• Students in school (from Class 1) or college (pursuing Diploma or Graduation) aged between 6-22 years.

Kotak Shiksha Nidhi Scholarship: Selection Process

The selection process for the Kotak Shiksha Nidhi Scholarship starts with the student applications being reviewed by the conducting body along with the relevant documents. Eligible students are selected for funding by the Kotak Group of Companies. The organization will also determine the extent of assistance through the scholarship.

Benefits

If considered eligible, the Kotak Shiksha Nidhi Scholarship will cover the following expenses related to education for students. The scholarship excludes students belonging to international boards such as IGCSE, IB, etc:

• School and college fees, library deposit, stationery, and other relevant expenses payable to the school or college.
• Hostel lodging and boarding expenses.

Application Process

To apply for the scholarship, the applicants must follow the steps given below. You can check your application’s status on the website or contact the Kotak Education Foundation for any queries. Based on the eligibility criteria, the deserving students will be chosen:

1. Visit the Kotak Education official website or any of the online platforms that offer the scholarship, such as Buddy4Study, Scholarship Arena, Scholarships.net.in, Scholarship Store, or Exams Planner.
2. Search for the Kotak Shiksha Nidhi scholarship and click on the ‘Apply Now’ button.
3. Register using your Gmail, Email, Facebook account or Mobile number.
4. Click the ‘Start Application’ button and fill in the required details to complete the application form.
5. Upload the documents such as proof of identity, proof of income, proof of loss of parent or primary earning member due to COVID-19, academic records, etc.
6. Accept the ‘Terms and Conditions’ and click on the ‘Preview’ option to review your application.
7. Submit your application and wait for the confirmation email or message.

Documents Required

Applicants need to have the following documents ready for the Kotak Shiksha Nidhi scholarship for submission and verification purposes:

• Passport-size photograph of the applicant and the guardian
• Identity proof of the applicant and the guardian (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, Driving License, PAN Card, etc.)
• Admission proof for the current academic year, such as fee receipt, admission letter, institution ID card, mark sheet of previous class grade, etc.
• Death certificate of the primary earning member of the family (parent or other) due to COVID-19.
• Proof of death such as hospital receipt, doctor prescription, medical bills, etc.
• Bank account details of the applicant.
