IBPS RRB Exam Latest Updates 

Candidates awaiting the results of the IBPS RRB Exam 2022 do not have to wait any longer. This is because the  ‘Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS’) has released the results for various departmental exams on its official website. Results for the said exam were released on 22nd December 2022. Candidates who have appeared for the exam can check their results between 22nd December (2022) – 31st December (2022).

As mentioned before, the IBPS RRB exam is a national-level exam that is conducted annually for candidates who aspire to work as : 

  1. Officer Assistant- Officer scale 1, Law Officer ( grade II), Officer (grade III)

IBPS RRB Online Application 2023  

The IBPS conducts three major exams: 

  • Officer Scale-I (IBPS RRB PO)
  • Officer Scale-II & III
  • Officer Assistants (IBPS RRB Clerk)

IBPS RRB Application Fee 2023 

Applicants appearing for the IBPS RRB exam 2023  are required to pay an online application fee of 850 INR. But keep in mind that the aforementioned fee was applicable for only to those who belong in the General Category. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PWD category will need to pay a fee of 175 INR. 

IBPS RRB Eligibility Criteria 2023 

Candidates appearing for the IBPS RRB examination (2023) will only be deemed eligible and permitted to give the exam if they meet the requisite eligibility criteria. Have a look at the following table to understand the requirements for eligibility:

Nationality Candidates must be citizens of India to be deemed eligible.  Subject(s) of Nepal/Bhutan are allowed to give the exam.  Tibetan Refugees who relocated to India before 1st January 1962.
Age Limit  (as on 01/06/2023) For Office Assistant (Multipurpose)- Must be between 18 years and 28 years. 
For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager)-Between  18 years to 30 years. 
For Officer Scale-II (Manager)- Above 21 years – Below 32 years 
For Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager)- Above 21 years – Below 40 years. 
Language proficiency Must be proficient in the local language of the State/ UT in which the RRB is located. 

Educational Qualification

  2. From boards recognized by the Govt. Of India.

Office Assistant (Multipurpose) Bachelor’s degree (in any subject ) from a recognized institution in India. Must be able to operate computers. 
Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager) Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognized institution in India.
Officer Scale-II General Banking Officer (Manager) Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognized institution in India.  Must have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
Officer Scale-II Specialist Officers (Manager) Information Technology Officer- Must have a bachelor’s degree in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science. Bachelor’s degree in Information technology with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.  Must have a certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP, etc.
Chartered Accountant-
Certified Associate (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Law Officer- 
Must have a degree in Law from a recognized university in India. Must have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager) Must have a bachelor’s degree from any recognized university in India. 
Must have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.

Exam Pattern of RRB Post 2023

The exam conducted for the IBPS RRB Assistant post will be conducted in two phases:

  1. Preliminary exam 
  2. Mains exam 

Applicants selected for the ‘Office Assistant’ post will not have to go through any interview process.  In such a case, the selection will solely be based on the marks acquired by the applicant in their main examination.

What is the selection procedure for the 2023 IBPS RRB recruitment?

Ans. Only the preliminaries and major tests will be required of applicants for the position of office assistant. Candidates who are interested in the IBPS PO position must show up for the Preliminary, Main, and Interview rounds. Candidates must show up for the Mains and Interview rounds if they are applying for the Officer Scale Posts II and III.

Ques. Is there a maximum number of people who can take the IBPS RRB Exam?

Ans. There is no restriction on how often you may appear, however there is an age restriction. IBPS RRB does not have any limitations on the number of tries.

Ques. IBPS RRB Exam 2023: Is there any negative marking?

Ans. Yes, there is a negative marking policy for all incorrect answers in the IBPS RRB Preliminary & Main tests. For each question the candidate marks incorrectly, 1/4 of the total marks will be subtracted.
