TVS History
T.V.S Iyengar started a company T.V. Sundaram Iyengar and Sons Limited, in 1911 to operate bus service in the city of Madurai. He operated a lot number of buses and Lorries under the name of Southern Roadways Limited. Later, the name TVS Motor Company Limited was registered in 1978 for the production and sale of Motorcycles, Scooters and three-wheelers in India.
As a TVS-SUZUKI joint venture, the business introduced a number of models, including the Suzuki Shaolin, Suzuki Shogun, Suzuki Supra, and Suzuki Samurai. In 2001, the TVS Company changed its name to TVS Motor after divorcing from Suzuki.
