2012- Train Fire
A train fire on Tamil Nadu Express in Andhra Pradesh, India killed 32 passengers and injured 27 people as well.

2012- Power Grid Failure in Delhi
The power grid failure in Delhi left more than 300 million people without electricity in northern India. 

2014- Landslide in Maharashtra
Twenty people were killed and 150 were trapped after a landslide in Maharashtra, India.

1912- Emperor Meiji Died
Japan’s Emperor Meiji died and was succeeded by his son Yoshihito, who is now Emperor Taisho.

1932- First Cartoon to use Technicolor
The premiere of Walt Disney’s Flowers and Trees was the first cartoon short to use Technicolor and the first academy award-winning cartoon film.

1971- Airplane Collide
An All Nippon Airways Boeing 727 and a Japanese Air Force F-86 collided over Morioka, Iwate, Japan killing 162.

In Mexico, the last old-style Volkswagen Beetle was rolled out in the assembly line. 

2011- Marriage of Queen Elizabeth II’s Eldest Daughter
Queen Elizabeth II’s eldest daughter Zara Phillips got married to former rugby union footballer Mike Tindall. 

2020- NASA’s Mars 2020
NASA’s Mars 2020 mission was launched on an Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
