Lo And Behold: Reveries Of The Connected World (Documentary)

This award-winning American documentary is directed by Werner Herzo. The documentary studies the existential impact of the Internet, robotics, and AI on human life. The film contains interviews with Bob Kahn, Elon Musk, Sebastian Thrun, Ted Nelson, and other leaders of the technology world.

AlphaGo

AlphaGo, directed by  Greg Kohs, talks about the DeepMind team of Google as it prepares to test the limits of its rapidly evolving AI technology. The film challenges machines against man, and reveals as much about the workings of the human mind as it does the future of AI.” 

Road to AI

Duration: 17 minutes

The documentary explores the future of technology at the convergence between self-driving cars and artificial intelligence. The docu-film is the latest instalment to the company’s OSS (Open Source Stories series) that records the various ways in which AI has crept into our lives.

Revolutionaries: Artificial Intelligence

Duration: 50 minutes

Eric Horvitz is the managing director of Microsoft Research and Cynthia Breazeal is the chief scientist of the Robotics firm Jibo. They join together for the BBC’s Rory Cellan Jones to discuss the rewards and challenges of AI with an audience in Silicon Valley. The documentary is not available for free but you can watch it on BBC. The audio track, however, is available on Youtube.

In 2009, Raj Dye who is a filmmaker and former AI programmer spent his summers with AI researchers Ben Goertzel and Hugo DeGaris in Hong Kong and Xiamen, documenting their whole trip and gathering their perspectives. The result was the 45-minute documentary Singularity or Bust, a unique and edgy singulatarian road movie.
