The University of Roehampton is London’s campus University that has a rich heritage spanning 175+ years. Founded in 1841 as the Whitelands College, it started as a women’s teacher training college established by the Church of England’s National Society to train women and educate disadvantaged populations. In 2004, the Roehmapton was granted independent University status by the Privy Council and soon, in 2006, research at Roehampton was named in the top 100 world-changing discoveries. Today, Roehampton University is regarded as one of the top 10 universities in London, and top 1000 globally known for its research, impact and career-focused education. Roehampton is affiliated with Universities UK, the Cathedrals Group, the European Universities Association (EUA), the Compostela Group of Universities (CGU), and the School of Pedagogical and Technological Education (ASPETE). Located at the heart of south-west London, the University of Roehampton is a splendid parkland campus comprising historic buildings and modern, cutting-edge learning facilities. Roehampton is a traditional University campus that is only a few miles away from the bustling central London. Roehampton University consists of four historic academic colleges, namely Digby Stuart, Frobel, Southlands and Whitelands, all of which were formed in the 19th century. A traditional campus University, Roehampton offers a unique experience and environment through its spectacular campus.
