Sir Ratan Tata Post-Doctoral Fellowships for South Asian Students at LSE

Sir Ratan Tata Post Doctoral Fellowship is a fellowship launched by the London School of Economics (LSE) in collaboration with the Sir Ratan Tata Trust. The fellowship was introduced in 1997 and continues even today. As a part of this, the fellow is expected to conduct research on social science, particularly on the Economic and Social Development in India and South Asia. The fellowship is only for students from the SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Corporation) countries and lasts six months, each academic year. Eligibility Criteria Sir Ratan Tata Post Doctoral Fellowship

Below are the eligibility criteria for the Fellowship

• Applicants should have completed their PhD 
• Be an early career post-doctoral researcher who is working on research related to South Asia 
• Should be a permanent employee of a recognised institution from the SAARC country. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh,  Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, and Afghanistan.

Selection Process 

The selection process for the Sir Ratan Tata Post Doctoral Fellowship:

• The applicants will be selected by the Fellowship Selection Committee of LSE
• Next, the candidate will be called for an interview 
• Finally, the committee takes the decision regarding who to award the fellowship.
