The Indian Oil Corporation Scholarship Scheme (IOCL) is open to students who are studying ITI, Engineering, MBA (Master of Business Administration), and MBBS courses. The program, initiated by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited, aims to support talented students who are pursuing professional education. 

A total of 2600 scholarships are available, with 2000 scholarships dedicated to 10+ or ITI students, 300 for engineering students, 200 for MBBS students, and 100 for MBA students. Moreover, special consideration is given to female candidates, physically challenged students, as well as residents of the North Eastern Region and Jammu and Kashmir. IOCL Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 

The IOCL scholarship offers opportunities to deserving candidates from various fields. However, it is crucial for applicants to ensure that they meet all the requirements before applying. The eligibility criteria for the IOCL scholarship for each discipline are as follows:

• MBA: Students who are in their first year of a full-time MBA program are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
• Engineering: First-year students pursuing a full-time engineering degree are eligible to apply.
• MBBS: First-year students enrolled in a full-time MBBS degree program are eligible for the scholarship.
• 10+2: Students currently enrolled in the 11th standard can submit their scholarship applications.
• ITI: Students in the first year of a two-year ITI course are also eligible to apply.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 15 and 30 years of age. Except for this age group, no candidate will be eligible.

There is a relaxation in the age limit: physically challenged candidates have a ten-year relaxation, SC/ST candidates have a five-year relaxation, and OBC students have a three-year relaxation.

Cut-off Marks

The students applying for the scholarship program must have secured the following marks in their respective exams:

How to Apply for IOCL Scholarship?

The details regarding the IOCL scholarship will be published in leading national newspapers. Students can apply for the scholarship program in online mode. 

Online Mode 

Candidates have the option to submit their IOCL scholarship application forms online through two websites. The websites are

Once the students have submitted their applications online, they will receive a unique IOCL scholarship registration number. It is important for them to make a note of this number and also print out the registered IOCL scholarship application form for future correspondence. 

Additionally, the system will generate a confirmation message and send it to the candidate’s registered phone number and email address to confirm the successful submission of the application form.

Document Submission

Candidates are required to submit the signed documents along with the printed and registered application form for verification purposes. The details of the documents to be submitted can be found at the bottom of the registered IOCL scholarship application form. 

The candidates should enclose these documents in a sealed cover and send them through speed post or registered post to the following address:

“Address- Sify Technologies Limited (IOCL ESS I-TEST DIVISION), Plot No B 7, Sector-132, Noida-201301 (Uttar Pradesh).”

The selection of the applicants for the IOCL scholarship is determined by both their academic performance and financial situation. The selection process for the IOCL scholarship is outlined as follows:

• The students’ combined family income should be below INR 1,00,000.
• Shortlisted candidates will receive notification by mail, requesting them to submit essential documents, including caste certificates, income certificates, birth certificates, and more.
• The final selection of students will be made after carefully verifying their eligibility criteria.

The scholarship rewards provided to candidates vary based on their academic levels. Here are the specifics regarding the amount of the IOCL scholarship:

Benefits of the IOCL Scholarship Program 

The IOCL Scholarship offers financial support to college students pursuing professional and medical courses. Some of the benefits of the Indian Oil Corporation Scholarship Scheme (IOCL) are as follows:

• Financial assistance ranging from Rs. 1,000/- to Rs. 3,000/- will be provided to students undertaking various courses. 
• The scholarship duration ranges from 2 to 4 years. 
• Students pursuing MBBS, MBA, and technical courses will receive Rs. 3,000/- in financial assistance. 
• Scholarship renewal is possible if the student achieves a minimum of 50% to 65% marks in the previous year’s examination. 
• The scholarship amount covers significant expenses.
