Promotion of Science Education Scholarships Scheme is launched by the Haryana State Council for Science & Technology. POSE Scholarships scheme provides financial support to students who have completed their matriculation (10th) and intermediate (10+2) from any school sponsored by the Haryana State Government.

The objective of this scholarship scheme is to encourage dedicated and meritorious students to excel in the field of science and technology and to pursue higher studies. Meritorious Students pursuing higher studies in Basic and Natural Science subjects will be awarded with this scholarship scheme.

How to Apply for POSE Scholarships?

Students interested in the POSE Scholarship will have to apply online by following the steps given below. Keep in mind that candidates will be shortlisted based on the successful submission of the application. To help candidates for submitting their applications, we have given step-by-step instructions.

Promotion of Science Education Scholarships Scheme Eligibility

While applying for the POSE scholarships scheme, candidates should fulfil are the required eligibility criteria. Below are mentioned all the eligibility criteria for the POSE scholarships scheme.

• Candidates should have completed their Matriculation (10th class) and Intermediate (10+2) from a school in Haryana.
• Candidates who are enrolled in the 1st-year in 2022 in Basic & Natural Science subjects in B.Sc/ Integrated M.Sc/ M.S/ B.Stat./ B.math or any of the subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Statistics, Geology, Astrophysics, Botany, Zoology, Electronics, etc.
• Candidates should possess a Haryana State Residence Certificate.

POSE Scholarships Selection Process

The selection process for the POSE scholarship scheme will be conducted based on the merit list. It will be released by the officials of the Department of Science and Technology, Haryana. It is important that candidates understand the selection criteria and process, so they can be part of it.

• In the selection process, first and foremost priority will be given to students whose names appear in the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) aptitude test, an extended list for 2021 published by KVPY, and the natural science course.
• Second preference will be allotted to students admitted at a reputed national institute, i.e. IIT, IISc, NISER, IISER, ISI, DAE-CBS in a basic and natural science course.
• Remaining scholarships will be allotted to students admitted in a basic % natural science course based on merit. 
• The merit list will be prepared based on the average score secured by the candidate in 10+2 board examinations in the best three subjects Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology.

POSE Scholarships Amount

The financial aid provided under this scholarship scheme will differ, depending on the years of candidates’ graduation. Also, the candidate’s score rank and preferences of study can be points to decide the scholarship amount.

• For candidates attempting their 1st to 3rd year of B.Stat/ B.Math/ B.Sc. B.S./ Integrated M.Sc/ M.S., will be given INR 4000 per month.
• Candidates appearing in the 4th and 5th year of B.Stat/ B.Math/ B.Sc. B.S./ Integrated M.Sc/ M.S. will be given INR 6000 per month.

Promotion of Science Education Scholarships Scheme Documents

Candidates interested in this POSE scholarship will have to provide scanned copies of all their certificates from matriculation onwards. These documents will include:

• Matriculation Certificate (10th)
• Intermediate Certificate (10+2)
• Self-attested copy of identity card (Aadhaar card/ pan card/ voter ID card)
• Signature of the candidate
• Passport-size photo of the candidate
• Enrolment certificate issued by the Principal/ Head of the College/ University/ Institution
• Rural area school certificate of 11th and 12th class (only of 3% additional weightage).
