History
World Student’s Day is celebrated on 15th October every year to celebrate the birthday of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. Born in 1931 in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu (Madras), he was one of the known aerospace scientists and teachers of his time and contributed his work for the welfare of national organisations like the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Indian Air Force. In 2002, he was named the 11th President of the Republic of India.
