The full form of LG is Lieutenant Governor. The only three U.T.s of India that offer the position of Lieutenant Governor are Delhi, Puducherry, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The LG is given the same responsibilities and power as a governor in the state under the Union Territory, while the President is given the same power as the Prime Minister of India at the Union level.
