The barrister from the state of Gujrat, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel was given many names throughout his lifetime for all the contributions he has made to the nation. Initially, he was sceptical about joining politics, but later on, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel came to be known as the ‘Iron Man of India.’ He entered politics and quickly grabbed a place for him in the hearts of people. He introduced many non-violent civil disobedience Satyagrah movements in response to British tax rising demands. It was also the time when there was a famine in the small town of Gujrat, Bardoli, in 1928. It was he who led the Satygrah Movement when Mahatma Gandhi was in jail.

• Statue of Unity- The Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhbha Patel’s 597-feet long statue facing the Narmada Dam was inaugurated in the year 2018 by Narendra Modi.
