The Full Form of IIT is the Indian Institute of Technology. The IITs are India’s top technology and engineering institutes that are acclaimed globally for their distinction in academics. Moreover, the IITs are owned by the Government of India and are Institutes of National Importance(INI) as per the Institutes of Technology Act of 1961. Additionally, the IITs offer undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degrees. Admission to IITs is through entrance examinations called, JEE Main and Advanced (previously AIEEE). The preparation of which many begin after 10th grade or even before since it is the most difficult exam. The fees for IITs range from 8lakhs to 10lakhs.
