The common full form of AAP is Aam Aadmi Party in India. It is a political ruling party of the capital city of India, Delhi. The leader of the Aam Aadmi Party and the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal founded it in the year 2012, November 26. It is the youngest national party in India to boom within a few years of its initiation. In 2022, it broke the record by winning 92 seats when Congress only secured 18 seats. The leaders of the party consist of- Arvind Kejriwal (National Convener), Pankaj Gupta (National Secretary), and Narain Dass Gupta (National Treasurer).
Initiatives by AAP
- The scrapping of Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code in 2018 is known to be an advocation of the AAP. It legalized homosexuality and marriage of the same sex. This is associated with the populist and centrist nature of the party.
- Bengaluru was known to be the start-up capital of India. However, in the tenure of AAP in Delhi, it has succeeded Bengaluru and made it to the top of the start-up capital of India.

- An initiative by the AAP government called ‘Mohalla Clinic’ in 2015, under which quality primary health care areas are accessible within every society or a few km. these clinics increased from 106 in 2016 to 519 in 202 which is a big hit.
- Delhi is the only city in India with 24 hours of power supply throughout the week.
- AAP government is known well to have worked on infrastructure such as quality roads and clean energy usage. Government schools and healthcare infrastructure have also spiked in the past few years under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal.
