These places teach me about India’s great history. Delhi’s culture is also very special. The city is known for its old markets, like Chandni Chowk, where people still sell traditional food, clothes, and crafts. During festivals like Diwali, Holi, and Eid, the city looks very colorful and happy. People from many different cultures and religions live here together peacefully. Dear President, I am Rohan Singh from Class 4 at Bal Bharti School. I live in Patel Nagar, New Delhi. I am writing to share what I like most about our beautiful city. One of my favorite things about Delhi is its green spaces. Lodhi Garden, which is spread across 90 acres, has many trees, flowers, and birds. It’s a peaceful place where families and children come to relax and play. I also enjoy going to Nehru Park and the Garden of Five Senses. Delhi has more than 18,000 parks and gardens, which help make our city one of the greenest in India. I am also happy that Delhi is becoming cleaner. The Swachh Bharat Mission, started in 2014, has brought a big change. Many new dustbins, public toilets, and waste collection vans have been introduced. People are more aware now and try to keep their surroundings clean. The Yamuna River, which flows for about 22 km through Delhi, is very important for our city. It gives water to many people and supports birds and animals, too. I hope one day the Yamuna will be completely clean and full of life again. Respected Sir, I am Priya Kumari, a student of Class 3 at Rainbow Kids School. I live in Ashok Vihar. I want to tell you what I like the most about Delhi. I really enjoy travelling in the Delhi Metro. It started in 2002 and now has 12 lines covering more than 390 km. Every day, over 50 lakh people use it. It is clean, fast, and safe. I also love Delhi’s tasty food. My favourite is chole bhature and golgappe at Chandni Chowk, which is one of the oldest markets in India, set up in the 1600s. I also dream of visiting Rashtrapati Bhavan one day. I read that it has 340 rooms, a beautiful Durbar Hall, and a 5-acre Mughal Garden with roses, tulips, and fountains.
