When Did Jawaharlal Nehru Die?
- Jawaharlal Nehru passed away on May 27, 1964, at the age of 74. He died in office at the Prime Minister’s residence in New Delhi.
- The main cause of his death was he suffered a severe heart attack.
- In the months leading up to his death, Nehru’s health had been in decline, with reports of him suffering from various ailments.
Due to his declining health, he went to Dehradun for a while to take a break from 23rd May to 26th May. On the morning of 27th May, he woke up with back pain and fell unconscious around 6:25 am. After which is suffered a stroke and died at 1:44 pm.
