To help international students find jobs, NSW collaborates with SEEK
A new and first-of-its-kind initiative in Australia, in collaboration with SEEK JOBS, will directly link foreign students with NSW employers to assist fill labor market gaps.

For the purpose of providing “NSW Jobs Connect for International Students,” the NSW government has teamed with the top employment marketplace SEEK. Foreign students may now quickly explore job openings offered by companies across various sectors, including finance, construction, manufacturing, and technology, because of the “#NSW Jobs Connect” filter on the SEEK website.

According to Alister Henskens, NSW’s minister for enterprise, investment, and trade, more than 136,000 international students are actively enrolled in New South Wales’s educational programs, integrating into their communities, and investing in their futures. As a result, it’s critical that we support them throughout their studies and far beyond.

Many companies are not aware that overseas students have the right to work throughout and after their studies, with many having the right to work for up to six years once their studies are complete, according to Kadi Taylor, head of government relations at SEEK.

This initiative aims to connect businesses and students through our online platform and in-person events, open doors, and give both groups the tools they need to succeed.
