1930: Bhagwati Charan Vohra died during Bomb Testing
On May 28th, A revolutionary man who used the Kashmir Building in Lahore as a bomb factory and executed the plan to bomb the train Lord Irwin was travelling in, died during a bomb testing.

1965: Mine Disaster
Dhanbad coal mine disaster. The blast killed 268 miners.

1992: Naval Exercises started between India and US
Indo-US Naval exercises began when Washington renewed military contacts.

1889- Michelin Tyre Company
May 28 is the day, Édouard and André Michelin incorporated the Michelin Tyre Company in France. It was the largest tyre manufacturing company in the world.

1918- Independence of Azerbaijan 
Azerbaijan gains independence and declares itself the Democratic Republic on May 28.

1923 – Wearing Trousers Legal
US Attorney General says it is legal for women to wear trousers anywhere

1936- A Book on Computers Published 
Alan Turing submitted “On Computable Numbers” for publication, in which he set out the theoretical basis for modern computers.

1946 – Hydrogen Bomb Patent
On May 28, 1946, US Patent filed for a hydrogen bomb

Last trip (Paris to Bucharest) on the Orient Express (after 78 years)

1996 – Fraud by the Business Partners
U.S. President Bill Clinton’s former business partners in the Whitewater land deal, James McDougal and Susan McDougal, and Arkansas Governor Jim Guy Tucker, are convicted of fraud on this day in History- May 28.

1999- The Last Supper
In Milan, Italy, on May 28, after 22 years of restoration work, Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece “The Last Supper” is put back on display
