1349- Jews Massacre
Hundreds of Jews burned to death by mobs in Strasbourg while the remaining were forced to leave.

1556 – Heresy Declaration
Thomas Cranmer declared a heretic.

1556 – Coronation of Akbar
The Third Mughal emperor Akbar crowned.

1778- THE US Flag formally recognized
The United States flag formally recognized by foreign Naval Vessel for the first time.

1779- Battle in Georgia
The battle of Kettle Creek fought in Georgia.

1779- James Cook killed
James Cook killed by Native Hawaiians on the Island of Hawaii.

1849- First President to get a picture taken
James Knox Polk became the first United States President to have his picture taken.

1855- Linking Texas
Texas linked to the United States with the telegraph.

1859- New State in the US
Oregon became the 33rd state of the United States.

1876- Patency of Telephone
Alexander Graham Bell applied for the patent of the telephone.

1899- Voting in the US
Voting machines approved by the US Congress.

1900- Battle of Tugela Heights
British forces began the battle of Tugela Heights.

1912- 48th state in the USA
Arizona became the 48th state of the United States of America

1919- The Polish-Soviet War
The Polish-Soviet War began on February 14 in 1919.

1920- Women Organization in Chicago
The League of Women Voters founded in Chicago.

1929- St. Valentines’ Day Massacre 
Seven people murdered in Chicago, six of them were gangster rivals of Al Capone in St. Valentine’s Day Massacre.

1942- Battle in Singapore
The Battle of Pasir Panjang in Singapore happened on January 14.

1943- World War II
Rostov-on-Don, Russia liberated in World War II.

1945- US-Saudi Relations
Beginning of US-Saudi diplomatic relations where Franklin D. Roosevelt met King Ibn Saud.

1946- Nationalized England Bank
The Bank of England, a central bank in the UK nationalized.

1966- Decimilzation of Australian Currency 
Australian current decimalized on January 14, 1966.

1983- United Bank collapsed
The United Bank of Knoxville collapsed and its President, Jake Butcher, convicted of Fraud.

1990- Airline Crash in India
Ninety-people killed in Indian Airline Flight 605 crash on February 14 in Bengaluru, India.

1990- Pale Blue Dot
The Voyager 1 spacecraft took the photograph of planet Earth which became famous as the Pale Blue Dot.

2000- First spacecraft to orbit asteroid
The spacecraft NEAR Shoemaker became the first spacecraft to orbit an asteroid.

2005- Beirut Tragedy
23 people including former Prime Minister Rafic Hariri killed by the equivalent of around 1000kg of detonated TNT.

2005- Youtube launched
Youtube launched by a group of college students that eventually became the world’s largest video-sharing website.

2008- Open fire in the USA
A gunman open fired in a lecture hall of the Northern Illinois University, USA.

2018- South Africa President resigned
Jacob Zuma resigned as the President of South Africa on February 14, 2018.

2018- Deadliest high school shooting
One of the deadliest high school shooting took place in Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Florida.

2019- Pulwama Attack
Pulwama attack took place in Pulwama District, Jammu and Kashmir, India on February 14, 2019.
