There was a rebellion by the people of Sicily against the Angevin king Charles I.

The Rimini Proclamation was issued by Joachin Murat which went on to inspire the Italian unification. 
1818: Optical Rotation 
Augustin Fresnel, the physicist read out a memoir on optical rotation to the French Academy of Sciences.
1822: Florida Treaty
The Florida Treaty was created in the United States of America on this day in history. 
1841: National Bank of Greece 
The National Bank of Greece was established in Athens on March 30, 1841. 
1842: Ether anaesthesia
Dr Crawford Long used ether anaesthesia for the first time during surgery. 
1855: Origin of the American Civil War 
Kansas was invaded by Border Ruffians from Missouri and forced the election of a pro-slavery legislature, which led to the origin of the American Civil war.

The Crimean war was ended by the signing of the Treaty of Paris on this day in history.

1965: Explosion in the United States Embassy 
There was a car bomb explosion in front of the United States Embassy which killed 22 people and wounded 183.

The US President Ronald Reagan was shot right in his chest outside a Washington DC hotel by John Hinckley.
2002: Lyon Car Attack

2009: Attack on Manawan Police Academy 
There was an attack on the Manawan Police Academy in Lahore, Pakistan by twelve gunmen on March 30, 2009.
2017: Reflight of orbital class rocket
