History, Affiliations and Rankings
Established in 1987, the Hague University of Applied Sciences was formed through the collaboration of six urban and nine special colleges of higher education in Hague, Netherlands. The institution welcomed its first class in 1987. Later, in 2003 with the Technische Hogeschool Rijswijk, it moved to the TU Delft campus and continued at the Hague University of Applied Sciences. The Delft campus began in 2009. In 2003, the university also opened the Academy for IT & Design in Zoetermeer, with the cooperation of the business community there. The Hague University of Applied Sciences has affiliations with Agora Student Union, Angstrom, Technische Natuurkunde, Atlantis, Civiele Techniek/ Bouwkunde/ Ruimtelijke Ontwikkeling, Auxilium, Bedrijfskundig Genootschap and Technische Bedrijfskunde. The Hague University of Applied Sciences ranks #201+ in European Teaching Rankings 2018 by Times Higher Education.
Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses
The Hague University of Applied Science is located in the political and cultural heart of the Netherlands. It provides more than 65 Undergraduate programs in the fields of Industrial Design Engineering, International Business, International Communication Management Process & Food Technology, and others. Almost all of the programs are four-year degrees, however, few of them can be shortened to three-year programs. Courses are provided in English and Dutch Language. Postgraduate courses in Business Administration & Management, Finance & Risk and Organization & Employability sector are provided. They also have programs for professionals with work experience. The University has five campuses which include Main Building The Hague, Poseidon, Delft, Zuiderpark Sports Campus, and Zoetermeer having five different faculties - Business and Management, Public Management, Law, and others.

All degree programs at The Hague University of Applied Sciences are accredited degrees that are visited and assessed for their quality by a panel of experts, nominated by the NVAO. The university is rooted in the idea of bringing positive “change” to the world and conducts practice-oriented research in its 7 Centers of Expertise, each with its own theme. Worldwide, there are more than 80,000 THUAS graduates that comprise a vast and valuable network with a varied range of knowledge and experiences. Some of the significant alumni of the Hague University of Applied Sciences are Helena Bregman, Human Resource Trainee at Visma, Greta, Account Manager at Newforce Global Services, and others.
Student Diversity and Visiting Companies
The Hague University of Applied Sciences values diversity in all its dimensions. The College has more than 26,300 student enrolments with about 2,300 faculty members on its premises. They have students coming from all over the world on the campus, who represent more than 150 countries on the campus. The male to female ratio is 53:47 at the Hague University of Applied Sciences making it a fairly gender-balanced university.
