Ans. If I would ever receive an inheritance worth more than 50 million dollars, I would certainly choose to donate part of my inheritance to a hospital to make a difference to society.
Healthcare plays a very fundamental role in human life and every citizen no matter their origin on Earth has the right to receive appropriate health facilities.Thus, by contributing money to the hospitals, I can directly contribute to saving the lives of people and making sure that health conditions are improved. The donation especially to underprivileged areas’ hospitals can be used to upgrade their medical equipment and facilities. In addition to this, the fund can also be utilized by hiring more healthcare practitioners with better training. This will not only improve the quality of care provided to the patients in the hospitals but also reduce the workload of existing staff members leading to improved overall patient experience.
Moreover, there are still many diseases such as Alzhiemer’s and AIDS that have no cure despite medical advances. There is a need to save the lives of many people suffering from such maladies which can only be done if the right cure is found timely. Thus, my monetary contribution can be invested in research and discovery of new medicines which can help find a cure and later treat these life-threatening diseases. The donation money could also be used to provide financial assistance to patients who cannot bear hospital expenses. Thus, regardless of one’s financial condition, accessibility to healthcare will be ensured.
To conclude, I will choose to donate half of my inheritance to a hospital which can make an immediate and major impact on people’s lifestyles. This way, I will be directly contributing to the well-being of the community and potentially saving lives.
