Ans: Layla from Norway is someone who holds a very special place in my heart. During my undergraduate studies, I met her through a student exchange programme at our institution. I think she is a foreigner whom I’ve known for a long time and find interesting.
Layla intrigues me predominantly given the way she perceives the world. She taught me that the world is beautiful and that not everything is supposed to be taken seriously. She taught me the value of living in the present and not worrying about the future. Layla, as far as I recall, was this bundle of passion and energy who inspired me to help break my own shackles and come out of my shell. Whenever she was around me, her positivity was so contagious that it began to reflect off on me. My fears and my own disillusionment were soothed and negated by her enthusiasm whenever she was with me, making me feel alive and vivacious. I used to feel so alive when I was with her. Layla’s optimistic approach to life and her worldview transformed me into the man I am today.
I am quite grateful to have met Layla on that fateful day, since if it hadn’t been for her, I would have gone through a period of reclusion in my life. Layla had a big heart in addition to a cheerful outlook on life. She was kind and loving to others. These characteristics of hers were inadvertently imbibed onto me. Today, instead of being ignorant, anytime I am around people and come across someone who is hurting within, I instinctively sympathise with the person. That being said, Layla’s influence on me was so strong that it changed my approach to life.
Lastly, I would like to state that a person who had a huge impact on my life is Layla from Norway. She not only saved me from my own turmoils but also shaped me into a better person. She surely is the only foreigner in my opinion who holds a special place in my life.
