Sarla Devi Scholarship: Eligibility Criteria

The Sarla Devi Scholarship has different eligibility criteria for different disciplines. The applicant must also be admitted to an institute covered under the eligible universities list to avail of this scholarship. For Science

  • Applicants must be enrolled in MBBS, Engineering or Nursing programs.
  • Their annual family income must be lower than INR 4.5 lakhs.
  • Candidates must have scored at least 75% in Class 12 in any of these Science subject combinations: PCB/PCM/PCMB.

For Vocational Courses

  • Applicants must be pursuing the following employable vocational courses: Mechanics, Electricians, Plumbers, Masons, Carpenters, Gardeners, and Tailors.
  • The annual family income of applicants must be below INR 4.5 lakhs.

  • 14 scholars from the Science stream receive INR 75,000 each.
  • 50 scholars from the Arts stream receive INR 20,000 each.
  • 40 scholars from the Commerce stream receive INR 25,000 each.
  • 65 scholars from Vocational courses receive INR 15,000 each.
