Punjab TET 2023 Exam Pattern
PSTET is an offline Pen and Paper Based test, organised into two papers Paper I deals with Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper II is based on the teaching syllabus from Class 6 to Class 8. There is no negative marking in the exam and each correct answer is awarded a +1 Mark. All four exam sections have MCQ Questions and are to be completed in 120 minutes. The PSTET examination will be constituted into two parts, which would be Paper 1 and Paper 2. Both the Paper 1 and Paper 2 of the Punjab TET are slightly different from each other, consisting of 5 and 6 subjects respectively. - 4 years of Bachelor’s of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed), or in accordance with NCTE.
- 2 years of Diploma in Special Education from a recognized institution.
For Elementary Teachers (Class 6th to 8th)
Candidates aspiring for the PSTET 2023 to be an elementary teacher in Punjab should be a graduate or a final year student from a recognized institution and should have the following qualification:
- 2 years of Diploma in teaching.
- Graduation Degree with 50% of passing marks and 1 year of eligibility as a B.Ed(Bachelor of Education) by NCTE. (If Any)
- A 12th passing certificate with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent.
