The qualification of a VAO must have passed the SSLC Public Examination or an equivalent qualification that will allow them to pursue secondary courses as well as college courses. What is the Salary and Promotion Scale of VAO?
The salary of a VAO is between Rs. 5,200 to 20,200/- plus Rs. 2,400 Grade Pay with the Pay Band 1. Their first salary is from Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 19,000. Furthermore, A VAO will only be promoted after completing 6 years of service and would then need to qualify for a departmental examination to become a Revenue Village Assistant.

What is the TNPSC Group 4 Exam?
The TNPSC Group 4 Exam is a gateway for those aspiring to join the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission. The minimum age for becoming a VAO is 21 years. A one-time registration fee of Rs. 150 is valid for 5 years. The examination fee for TNPSC Group 4 exam is Rs. 100.
