The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is an examination-conducting body responsible for the recruitment of staff into the state public service. TNPSC conducts recruitment drives for all TNPSC groups. That is, 1,2,3, and 4. It was established in 1929 with the Act of the Madras Legislature. Today, it operates under the Article 315 of Part XIV of the Indian constitution. TNPSC Group 1 Exam Eligibility Criteria

The TNPSC Group 1 exam is conducted to hire candidates for the posts of Assistant Commissioner, Assistant Director of Rural Development, Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, and District Officer (Fire and Rescue Services). Interested applicants have to meet the TNPSC exam eligibility.

Deputy Superintendent of Police: Physical Qualification

The role of a DSP is to prevent crimes, investigate crimes, and apprehend criminals. To apply for the position of Deputy Superintendent of Police candidates must possess specific physical qualifications. They are:

Male	Minimum 165 cm in height and 85 cm around chest
Female	Minimum of 155 cm in height

District Officer (Fire and Rescue Service): Physical Qualification

The role of a district officer for the fire and rescue department is to exercise general supervision and maintain control of the fire stations in Tamil Nadu. Interested applicants must meet the TNPSC exam eligibility.

TNPSC Group 2 Exam Eligibility Criteria

TNPSC group 2 exam is conducted for the position of Sub-registrar, Assistant Inspector in the Local Fund Audit Department, Sub-Registrar Grade-II, Deputy Commercial Tax Officer, and Probation Officer in the Prison Department, among others. To apply for these positions candidates must meet the minimum qualifications.

TNPSC Group 3 Exam Eligibility Criteria

The TNPSC Group 3 exam is conducted to recruit candidates for the position of storekeeper in the employment and training department, junior inspector of cooperative societies, store-keeper, grade-II in industries and commerce department, and station fire officer. Indian applicants must be at least a graduate to apply for the same.

TNPSC Group 4 Exam Eligibility Criteria

TNPSC Group 4 applications are made for the position of village administrator, junior assistant (non-security), bill collector grade 1, junior assistant (security), field surveyor, draftsman, typist, and steno-typist grade 3.  To be eligible for the job role candidate must possess an educational qualification of graduation/SLCC. The age limit for the TNPSC exam eligibility is as follows:

TNPSC Combined Engineering Services Eligibility 

TNPSC engineering services exam is conducted for the selection of Group B or the class 2 engineers in the state ministries and departments. No age limit is set for candidates from the SC/ST/SC (A) category. The same goes for destitute widows, Backward classes (Muslims), most backward classes and other denotified communities. The TNPSC Assistant Engineer (ASE) exam accepts applications from candidates who have completed their graduation from the relevant field of engineering. Moreover, the maximum age limit set for the exam is 30 years. However, 3 years of age relaxation is granted to candidates coming from the SC/ST/Destitute window category.
