What is the Turkiye Burslari Scholarships?

The Ministry of National Education in Turkey offers the Turkiye Burslari Scholarship, a fully-funded scholarship to students from all over the world. The Turkish Government Scholarship is an opportunity for those international students who are looking for a prestigious place with its unique cultural environment, historical heritage and modern lifestyle. Also, it is a chance for you to experience first-hand European culture, especially with its rich diversity of ethnicities, religions and traditions.

The scholarship program offers a wide range of financial support that includes a monthly living allowance, free public transport card and medical insurance. The residence at Turkish universities dorms is also provided as part of the scholarship program.

The aim of the Turkey Burslari Scholarship 2022 is to provide excellent students who will be returning to their home country after completing their education in Turkey with a scholarship that will enable them to continue their studies without financial worries. The scholarship also aims at encouraging talented students from around the world to study in Turkey for a period of time. This is an opportunity for you to learn more about Turkey and its culture, as well as develop your language skills by studying and living there.

As there are a limited number of slots available each year to study in Turkey on the Burslari 2022 scholarship program, thus the early application is recommended before all slots are filled up!

Application Requirements for Turkiye Burslari Scholarship

• Applicants who are citizens of all countries except for Turkish citizens and individuals who have lost their Turkish citizenship.
• Applicants who will graduate at the end of the current academic year (before August 2022) or will have graduated by this date from a four-year university or a three-year high school.
• Applicants who apply to one of the following programs and fields in which we offer our undergraduate programs: 
• Undergraduate programs offered in English: Business Administration, Health Management, Economic and Administrative Sciences, Psychology, Communication Studies. 

Documents for Turkiye Burslari Scholarship

• A valid identity document, ID card or passport
• A photograph of the candidate taken within the last 1 year
• National exam results (if any)
• Academic transcritps, diploma or temporary graduation certificate
• International exam results (GRE, GMAT, SAT, etc.) if requested by the chosen university or program.
• International language test results such as IELTS, TOEFL, DELF, if requested by the chosen university or program.
•  A proposal for a research topic and a written example of the research you have carried out (only for doctoral applications).
• All documents are required unless specified otherwise.

Undergraduate Scholarship Coverage

• University and Program Placement
• Monthly Stipend: 700 TL(INR-3,756) per month
• Tuition Fee
• Once-off Return Flight Ticket
• Health Insurance and Accomodation
• One year Turkish Language Course

Master & PhD Scholarship Coverage

• University and program placement
• Monthly Stipend:
  • Master’s: 950 TL(INR-5,098) per month
  • PhD: 1400 TL (INR-7513)per month
• Tuition Fee
• Once-off Return Flight Ticket
• Health Insurance and Accomodation
• One year Turkish Language Course

 Turkey Success Scholarship Programs

• Monthly Stipend – For Bachelor’s, it’s 440 TL per month; For Master’s, it’s 595 TL per month & For Ph.DIt’s 885 TL per month.
•  Turkey Success Scholarship program additionally does include convenience and other benefits/

Turkey Research Scholarship (3 to 10 months)

• Turkey Research Scholarship Program 3000 TL monthly stipend
• This Turkey Scholarship program does not include accommodation and other amenities.
• This Turkey Success Scholarship program additionally does include convenience and other benefits.

Turkish Culture and Language Programs(8-10 months)

• The monthly Living Allowance for Master’s is 2000 TL.
• Accommodation will be issued in Turkey University
• Course for the Turkish Language
• The Turkey Scholarship winner receives a return flight ticket once as well. 
• This Turkish culture and language scholarship program does not include health insurance.

How to Apply for Turkiye Burslari Scholarships?

• The application procedure is completely online and will not be accepted by any other medium. 
• You can apply for multiple programmes within one application or apply for just one programme per application or multiple programmes in one application.
• The online application asks you to select the programmes you wish to apply for, which must include at least one Master’s programme and one PhD programme.
• Applications can only be made individually through www.turkiyeburslari.gov.tr by the candidates.
• There are no institutions or persons authorized to apply for Türkiye Scholarships.

Minimum Academic Achievement Criteria:

• Minimum academic achievement for undergraduate candidates: 70%
• Minimum academic achievement for Master and Doctorate candidates: 75%
• Minimum academic achievement for candidates of Health Sciences (Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy): 90%

Age Criteria

• For undergraduate programs: being under the age of 21
• For Post Graduate programs: being under the age of 30
• For doctoral programs: being under the age of 35
• For Research Scholarship: being under the age of 45

Evaluation Process

The evaluation process can take up to 1-2 months with the Turkiye Burslari Scholarship and the results are announced online on the official website in the month of November
