Microsoft and AICTE Collaborate

Microsoft and AICTE collaborate to encourage learning in emerging specialisations of technology like Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cloud Computing, amongst others and with their fruitful partnership, they are offering more than 1500 course modules at free of cost. On Monday, Microsoft declared this collaboration and announced that these course modules are being offered to both students and teachers in India. 

These courses can be availed through AICTE’s e-learning portal ELIS. Microsoft Learn, i.e. Microsoft’s learning resource centre has been integrated with the ELIS platform which provides a gateway to personalized learning paths and recourses for students. They include a broad range of courses especially in AI, cloud computing, data science, etc. Students and educators can also explore resources on what is Microsoft Fabric , a unified platform designed to simplify and enhance data integration, analytics, and business intelligence capabilities, which can be pivotal in learning about cloud computing and AI.

The partnership will also incorporate online learning paths and instructor-led training material through the Microsoft Learn for Educators on its platform. Educators and professionals who are eligible can ingress Microsoft’s ready-to-teach curriculum and teaching materials aligned with industry-recognized certifications by Microsoft.

On the news of Microsoft and AICTE collaboration, the Chairman of AICTE, Anil Sahasrabudhe said, “Upskilling is very important to enhance employability opportunities for students. AICTE is happy to partner with Microsoft to help students get an opportunity to be hands-on with the latest technology and build products and services for the future.”

As Microsoft and AICTE collaborate, this strongly indicates the company’s commitment to build a strong skilling ecosystem in the country and ensure continuity in learning. 

Microsoft India President Anant Maheshwari stated, “COVID-19 has accelerated the need for upskilling and has shown clearly that the future of learning will be profoundly personalised and supported by technology. We are committed to empowering learners and educators across the country to skill themselves in emerging technologies and partner in the journey to thrive in a digital future.”

This exciting partnership can open various opportunities for students to get hands-on experience with technology to build the future with Azure for Students. Eligible Students above the age of 18 years can make the most of over 25 free Azure services, engage in building apps, and use the AI facilities. Apart from utilizing the big data, students can also avail of USD 100 in Azure credit which is renewable annually.

Furthermore, to make its sessions more interactive, Microsoft will host live webinars on next-gen technologies for students of AICTE. To ensure course benefits for all, Microsoft shall sponsor 1,000 certification exam vouchers. These vouchers include different technologies and programs for deprived students.
